16.2 is now out of Early Access and contains the following changes:
Note: This release is not compatible with earlier versions of the Payment Gateway module. If you upgrade to 16.2, you must also upgrade the Payment Gateway module. For more information see our Upgrading Knowledge Base article.
Enhancements:
- Application Log messages relating to job release errors now include the IP address of the Release Station.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue allowing the creation of internal users with the same card/ID number.
- Fixed an issue preventing users from logging into the Mobile User web interface from iOS devices (since 16.1).
- Fixed an issue blocking Site Server connectivity when the Application Server is configured with a stricter list of SSL protocols (since 16.2 Early Access).
- Enhanced the predictability of the order in which jobs are printed when "Release All" is used.
- Fixed an issue allowing alphanumeric PINs to be assigned to internal users via server-command.
- Fixed an issue introduced by the bundled Java SE Runtime Environment upgrade in 16.2 Early Access causing problems on some older devices (using the RC4 cipher) connecting to PaperCut MF.
- PaperCut LPD service with legacy Windows LPR client: Fixed an occasional issue preventing jobs from processing when either the job name or the associated username contains non-ASCII characters. - Ricoh printers: Added a new Config key (toner.fetch-public-mib-then-private) to improve the accuracy of toner level retrieval when below 20% for some models.
- Canon UFR II drivers: Added support for 40 X 30 inch page size detection.
- KIP GL drivers: Improved page count reliability.
- Linux and Mac: Improved the reliability of enabling and disabling printers.
- Fixed an occasional issue with account charging priority.
- Fixed an issue on the External Device List page for Payment Gateway devices, causing an error to be displayed when you attempt to access the Device Details page (since 16.2 Early Access).
Copier / Device Integration:
- Canon (MEAP)*:
- Fixed an occasional issue causing the device to become unresponsive when the ID/RESET key was pressed multiple times in quick succession.
- Fuji Xerox (AIP) / Dell (AIP)*:
- Fixed an issue that allowed users to continue printing from a USB drive when their credit had run out.
- HP (FutureSmart)*:
- Fixed an issue causing devices to be unresponsive when you log in with a swipe card while the login popup message is displayed.
- Kyocera (HyPAS) v1.9.2*:
- Integrated Scanning: Fixed an issue causing an F245/F248 error message to display on the device panel when performing multiple consecutive Integrated Scanning jobs.
- Lexmark (LeSF) Version 2.3.1*:
- LeSF 5 is now supported.
- Android-based devices: Fixed an authentication issue where login at the device displayed the native interface, and any subsequent action caused the device to lock.
- Fixed an issue when sending multiple faxes, where fax numbers from the previous fax job were displayed on the subsequent fax job screen.
- Improved device stability.
- Fixed an issue preventing devices in powersave mode to wake up with a user card swipe.
- OKI (Open Platform):
- Fixed an issue causing devices to be unresponsive when you log in with a swipe card while the login popup message is displayed.
- Xerox (EIP):
- Added a Config key (send-users-email-address-to-device) that controls whether or not the user's PaperCut MF email address is sent to the device.
Other Notes:
- This release does NOT contain a database upgrade.
- Devices marked with * require installing an updated version of the embedded software to access new features and fixes.
